A2 MEDIA STUDIES
PHOTOGRAPHS
In this page you will be able to see many types of photographs I have taken using different shots, in order to improve my skills and techniques as I will later on make use of them in my music video.
SHOTS TO INCLUDE:

LOW ANGLE:
Low angle shot is used to make the people in the frame taller and powerful. I will use this shot in my music video to highlight the important scenes and will use it to show the codes and conventions.

HIGH ANGLE:
High angle shot is when the camera is looking down at a person or object. I will use it during my music video to focus on the artist and give a higher prespective of the scene.
CLOSE UP:
The close up shot is used to show more definition and detail in the artists face, I will use it in order to show the audience who the main artist is, as to show facial expressions and features.

MEDIUM SHOT:
A medium shot focuses our attention on the people in the frame as also showing some of the environment. It will be the most commonly used as it allows the audience to interpret facial expressions
as well as body language and is very frequently used in music videos.

LONG SHOT:
In a long shot, the artists body will probably fill the frame, but the screen will be dominated by the scenery. I will use it in my music video to show the full frame and to show the body language.

FISH EYE LENS:
Fish eye lens show an extremely wide area with curved edges, this will make scenes more original and will make it stand out from the rest of the scenes.

POINT OF VIEW SHOT:
Point of view shot is used to give the audience a view from the character´s prespective by positioning the camera where the character´s eyes would be. This will make the audience feel as if they are in the videoclip and they will feel more engaged.

PERSONAL PHOTOSHOOT
The following photoshoot was made with the intention of experimenting with different types of lightings, colours, shots and filters. This helped me throughout the music video as I had learnt new skills and techniques that made me prepared and experiences.
